modern materials and technology with the
latest insights in the fields of kinetics and

PU/TPU Sole
Spirit’s sole provides exceptional multi
directional grip. Constructed from dual
density polyurethane that is light and
cushioned through the midsole, yet incredibly
robust and durable on the outsole, the Spirit
sole also features thermoplastic polyurethane
(TPU) inserts for enhanced slip resistance.
PU/Rubber Sole
The Spirit rubber sole collection provides
comfort in extreme working conditions.
Incorporating the features and benefits of
the Spirit range, the dual density sole
construction includes polyurethane for
cushioning throughout the midsole and
rubber nitrile for heat resistance to 300˚c
on the outsoles. The Spirit rubber sole
provides the benefits of Bata’s Tunnel
System® and multi directional slip
resistance and is recommended in
applications where contact temperatures
exceed 130˚c.
The Spirit sole also includes the ingenious
and unique Bata Industrials Tunnel System®.
When depressed, the characteristic recess
in the heel deforms in order to distribute the
pressure over a larger surface area. This
built in shock absorber spares the joints and
helps to prevent fatigue.
Full leather uppers and breathable linings
provide a climate management system that
keeps feet fresh and dry. Poron inserts and
tri-density insoles mean that under foot
comfort is assured, whilst latex toe cap
linings protect the top of the foot. Every
shoe and boot in the Spirit collection is
anti-static.
